We decided to head south and visit some family and friends during the long-anticipated week-long break from school.
My step dad, Dave. When we decided to head to Eugene for a visit,
we realized it had been awhile since we'd seen him (and he'd seen the kiddos).
We had a nice lunch together during his lunch break at work.
Liam is enjoying himself
(head of the table). It was a tasty curry recipe. Yum! We love Thai food!
Our visit Ryan and the hosts, the Boltz family, was definitely the highlight of
our trip! We miss you guys!
A visit with Grandma Ethel (my mom's mom). She had
cancer surgery (for the second time) to remove a tumor
that had started to wrap itself around her ribs. In addition to the tumor,
2 ribs were removed. But as hard as the surgery was,
Ethel is NOT a wimp - she has come out on time and is recovering well.
*Note the exhaustion in the childrens' faces. This visit
was one of many, and happened on the last day of our stay in Eugene.
Yes, that's snow. On one of the last days of Spring Break,
we decided to take a trip to Vancouver Mall. We wandered around Penney's,
and when it was getting time to head home, we came out to find a blanket of white
outside!!! Remember - this was the first week of April!! Definitely a surprise, and though it didn't last long, it certainly made a first Spring Break in Vancouver to remember!
