Breakfast in Rio Dulce

A basket of crabs caught by some fishermen in the area (don't worry - we didn't eat them for breakfast!)

Solomon woke up at 5:30am this morning, eager to explore this beautiful town located along Rio Dulce, or "Sweet River." At one end of the river is Lake Izabal. The other end opens into the salty ocean. We stayed one night here. When we headed to breakfast early Thursday morning, it was already well into the upper 70s, possibly low 80s*. We ate along the water's edge, and enjoyed the tranquility of this quiet town, before heading off to visit the historic castle of San Felipe.
