Showers of blessings

Delicious chocolate cake! Yum!

38 weeks pregnant

Adorable croc jammies - thank you Michelle!

A beautiful handmade blanket - thank you Patrice!

I am so blessed to have so many friends and family that are nearly as excited as I am to welcome Liam. My dear friend Michelle and her mom and mother-in-law held a wonderful baby shower for me at Dinners Done Right, a local business that prepares (or lets you prepare) various kinds of dinners that can be frozen and pulled out when needed - for when baby comes and I'm too tired to cook! :) The girls and I had great fun putting together the 12 meals I had selected, and then sitting around the table delighting in sipping juice and coffee, eating delicious homemade coffee cake, and opening gifts. It was extremely thoughtful! (Photos to come)

Then, my colleagues at Buena Vista also spoiled me with their kindness and generosity by throwing a baby shower on my last teaching day before my maternity leave. They purchased a delicious chocolate cake with strawberry filling and vanilla frosting from Market of Choice, and pampered me with adorable outfits and other baby necessities, as well as a Target gift card. Needless to say, I am feeling quite overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity that has been shown to our family - and I am so very grateful! We are blessed!

P.S. Thank you Melissa for compiling the amazing disc of photos! You are wonderful!

"El frijolero"

Frijoles, or beans, are one of my favorite foods. The boys seem to love them too. When Nefty was about Solomon's age, he couldn't get enough of them, especially on a tostada shell with a little sour cream. Now, Solomon is following in his brother's footsteps, as he not only gets them in his mouth, but all over his face as well!

Hiccups...and then some!

Liam has the hiccups...

...and now he's trying to get comfy as he gets bigger (or his play space gets smaller!)

Is it just me, or does my belly look big? Well, either way, the angle isn't the best (nor the prettiest!), but it does capture some cool contortions as Liam does some somersaults. I am 35 weeks tomorrow (Jan 6th). It's truly hard to believe that in a few short weeks we'll be meeting our third son!

Savoring Christmas Blessings

Testing out the 3-D glasses

Our boys were hopelessly spoiled with all kinds of Christmas goodies, including a fun alphabet train, a pint-sized computer, a mini-keyboard, and much more. One of the boys' favorite things was a 3-D version of Polar Express. They sure enjoyed hanging out in their jammies and watching the show. Solomon also kept his glasses on while he wandered around the living room to play with other toys. Pretty cute!
