Guatemala...the little joys

* sunshine - EVERY day!
* CARNE ASADA
* Hiper Paiz (sister store to Walmart)
* delicious fruits & veggies (black beans, avocado, mango, plantain... YUM!)
* freshly made tortillas (never goin' back to the pre-made ones in the states!)
* cafe con champurradas (nightly quiet time with the hubby)
* line-drying clothes and diapers
* two-burner stove to heat water for showers
* living 4 blocks from church, and less than 1 block from the soccer 'cancha' (even if it is cement)
* no t.v.
* rental cars with no-limit mileage!
* Oakland Mall
* falling asleep to praise music from the church around the corner
* every day that we don't get sick
* soy milk
* TIGO - our cell phone and internet provider
* Oakland Mall
* Los Gauchitos - yummy sandwiches in the Hiper Paiz food court
* oatmeal & pancakes for breakfast
* Pollo Campero - Guatemala's KFC, but better
* not having to ride the city bus
* AC & tinted windows
* close proximity to Belize, El Salvador, and Honduras
* Semana Santa

...I'm sure there's much more that I've already forgotten. But these are just a few of the little things we take for granted in the states..and the ongoing sources of "little joys" that keep us going every day.
